Privacy at DressMaker.me

DressMaker.me is an independent Dressmaker companion with guides and small browser tools. This notice explains the behavior of the public website’s first version, including locally saved designs, commission drafts and progress checklists. It is written around the features implemented here rather than a list of hypothetical services. The notice is dated September 28, 2026. The Dressmaker website includes optional Google Analytics, controlled by the choice described below. New accounts, advertising or other processing would require this explanation to be reviewed again.

You can read the Dressmaker guides and use the Little Atelier without creating an account or providing an email address. The public tools do not request your Steam password, account token, payment details or game save. They do not connect to your game installation. Dressmaker.me is not a service operated by Cozy Lives, Free Lives or Valve, and its local records are separate from the information those organizations manage.

What happens when you read a guide

A normal visit requests pages, styles, fonts and images from the website’s hosting infrastructure. As with other websites, that request necessarily involves connection information such as an IP address and browser-supplied request headers. The hosting provider may process operational logs for delivery, reliability or security. This application does not provide a visitor-facing account of the host’s retention settings, so it does not promise that hosting logs never exist or specify an unverified deletion period.

Cloudflare hosts the Dressmaker website and can inject its Web Analytics performance beacon at the network edge. The deployed site has been observed loading this separate script. It measures page addresses, referring pages and browser performance such as loading time and layout shifts. Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and discards the connection IP address at its nearest data center. See Cloudflare’s beacon documentation for details. This hosting-level performance measurement is separate from the optional Google Analytics choice below and may run before that choice is made.

Dressmaker uses optional Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-88P8VK9JV7 to understand page visits and engagement. Before you choose Allow analytics, the public interface does not load the Google tag or send Google Analytics events. Essential only keeps Google Analytics off. Either choice leaves all Dressmaker games and guides available. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in this integration; no advertising or chat widget is enabled.

Dressmaker analytics and your choice

When you allow analytics on Dressmaker.me, your browser requests Google’s tag and can send page addresses, referral information, device/browser details and engagement events to Google. Analytics cookies can identify repeat visits in that browser. The Dressmaker integration sets their maximum lifetime to 180 days; browser settings can shorten it. Google processes data under its own privacy policy and partner-site information. Actual account-level retention depends on the operator’s Google Analytics settings; this notice does not invent a configured retention period.

The Dressmaker privacy choice is remembered locally for up to 180 days. Open Privacy settings in the footer to change it. Declining after acceptance disables further measurement, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. This does not erase events already received by Google. We do not send your wardrobe names, commission notes, checklist selections or correction text as analytics event fields. The Dressmaker tools continue to work when analytics is declined or blocked. Local previews and workers.dev previews do not load the production Google tag.

The embedded Dressmaker browser game

The homepage also offers a Dressmaker game player hosted at static.kingdomofmarionettes.org, separate from our Little Atelier. The iframe is created only when you select Play DressMaker; its cover illustration is served by this website. Starting the player contacts that external host and downloads its Unity game files. The reviewed player also includes a pageview.app analytics script controlled by its provider. Your Google Analytics choice on Dressmaker.me does not control those external scripts, cookies or storage. The browser may send connection information to the game host and its service providers.

The Dressmaker iframe is isolated from this website’s page and local records by the browser’s origin boundary. We do not receive its game save or read its internal gameplay state. Close game removes the iframe and stops that embedded session; it does not erase records the provider has already received. Reloading or closing can lose unsaved progress. The deletion control on this privacy page only clears our listed Dressmaker tools, not another origin’s records. You can use the Little Atelier and all guides without opening the external player.

Your studio wardrobe stays in this browser

When you save a design in the Little Atelier, Dressmaker.me writes a small record to local storage associated with this site. The record includes the design’s name, selected silhouette, color, print, finish, stitch progress, identifier and creation time. The wardrobe holds up to twenty-four designs. The information is used to show your collection when you return with the same browser profile and site address.

Saving a Dressmaker studio design does not upload it to a public gallery or make it visible to other visitors through this application. It also does not create a cloud backup. Anyone who can use the same browser profile on the same device may be able to open the collection. Avoid putting private information in a design name, particularly when you share a device. The local wardrobe is a convenience for creative work, not a secure private vault.

DressMaker.me: commission drafts and exported reports

The Dressmaker commission checker calculates results locally from the conditions you type. A draft is written to browser storage only when you choose Save draft. It can contain edition, build, platform, selected customer, requirement names, thresholds, observations and notes. This information is not sent to an external model or automatically uploaded as part of using the checker. The tool does not read screenshots or inspect private game files.

The export action creates a JSON report through your browser’s normal download behavior. That report contains the context and rules you entered, along with the calculated results and export time. Once the file is on your device, its handling depends on what you do with it. Review the report before sharing it in a Dressmaker community. Notes can include information you entered yourself, so the application cannot guarantee that a downloaded report contains no personal details.

DressMaker.me: character and achievement checklists

The Dressmaker character and achievement trackers save identifiers for entries you manually mark complete. They do not authenticate with Steam or confirm your actual progress. A mark in the website’s checklist is not an official achievement and cannot change Dressmaker. The character list and achievement list use separate records so that the tools can remember different kinds of progress without creating a user account.

These Dressmaker records belong to the current browser and origin. Opening the site on a phone after using it on a computer will not automatically reproduce the same checklist. A different browser profile can also have different data. Private browsing or restrictive settings may prevent persistent storage. When the application cannot save a change, it explains that limitation rather than claiming your progress has been stored successfully in a nonexistent cloud account.

DressMaker.me: search and correction notes

The site search filters the published guide catalog in the browser. It does not send the entered search term to an external search provider. You can search by topic, platform or character name without supplying an identity. The directory and search interface use the guide information already included with the website. There is no need to add private account details to find an article.

The Dressmaker correction-note tool prepares text that you can copy or download yourself. It does not submit a support ticket or send a message behind the scenes. Until a working operator-managed contact channel is published, preparing a note is not the same as delivering it. Do not enter a password or sensitive information into a Dressmaker correction draft. A page address, disputed statement and source are usually enough to make a factual correction understandable.

DressMaker.me: how long local records remain

Local records remain until you remove them, replace them through the relevant tool, clear site data or the browser removes them under its own storage behavior. The application does not assign a promised lifetime to local storage. Browser maintenance, private-session closure, profile removal or storage policies can affect persistence. Important notes should not rely on one browser record as their only copy.

Use the deletion control above to remove the Dressmaker wardrobe, commission draft, character checklist and achievement checklist for this site in the current browser. This does not delete files you already downloaded, Steam achievements, game saves, records on another device or hosting logs. If you want to remove a downloaded Dressmaker illustration or report, manage that file using your device’s normal file controls. Those separate locations require separate actions.

DressMaker.me: external links have their own privacy behavior

The guides link to Steam, the developer’s itch.io page, the publisher’s website and relevant community resources. Following one of those links leaves the local application and contacts the destination service. That service may use its own cookies, account systems, analytics and retention rules. This notice does not describe or override the practices of every external website linked from a research article.

Dressmaker.me does not require you to join Discord, sign in to Steam or download a community modification to read the guide content. An official source link is provided so you can verify the claim in context. It should not be interpreted as a privacy certification for all content on that destination. Check the external service’s own information when deciding whether to sign in, share a screenshot or provide details about a Dressmaker support problem.

DressMaker.me: shared devices and sensible data choices

Because the tools are local, someone using your browser profile may see the notes and designs that remain there. If you are on a public or shared computer, consider exporting what you need and clearing the local records before leaving. Be mindful that a downloaded file can still remain in the device’s Downloads folder even after website storage is cleared. The two are not the same storage location.

The Dressmaker tools are designed around low-sensitivity creative and gameplay information. They do not need legal names, addresses, medical details or financial data. Keep entries focused on the task: a dress name, commission condition, version or observation. If a Dressmaker feature cannot access storage because of your browser settings, you can still read the articles and use transient interactions, while accepting that those changes may not survive a reload.

DressMaker.me: keeping this notice accurate

The useful standard for a privacy notice is whether it matches the deployed site’s actual behavior. If the operator introduces a working contact service, different analytics processing, public submissions, cross-device synchronization or accounts, this page needs corresponding details about those features. A future possibility is not treated as an existing service in this version. No unconfigured mailbox or unimplemented deletion endpoint is presented as available.
