Dressmaker Commission Checker: Check Your Brief
Check Dressmaker minimums, maximums and avoid rules using your own values. Handle uncertain ranges, save a local draft and export a clear requirement report.
One brief. Every detail checked.
Copy the requirements and values you see in your game. All calculations stay in your browser.
Different customers can have different briefs. Selecting a name does not load or assume any game requirements.
Unknown values remain unknown. Sketch estimates cannot prove final acceptance. This tool does not know hidden scoring formulas, read your game or upload your inputs. The examples are illustrative.
What the Dressmaker commission checker actually checks
The Dressmaker commission checker compares requirements and observations that you enter manually. It can identify whether a supplied value meets a minimum, stays below a maximum or violates a must-avoid condition. It can also preserve uncertainty when a range crosses a limit or a value is still only a sketch estimate. The calculation runs in your browser and does not require a Steam account, uploaded screenshot or game save.
This is a companion for organizing a Dressmaker brief, not a simulator of the hidden scoring system. It does not calculate quality from materials, discover customer requirements or predict acceptance from an illustration. Its useful promise is smaller and testable: given the values you provide, it explains the comparison consistently. A Dressmaker result should always be read alongside the original request and your finished garment, not treated as an official verdict from Dressmaker.
Set the context before adding requirements
Choose the edition you are using, record a build if you know it and select the platform. These fields make a saved report easier to understand later. They do not automatically change the comparison rules or load an unverified database. If the build is unknown, leaving it unknown is more accurate than entering the newest number from a news page. Your installation may differ from the research snapshot.
The Dressmaker customer selector works in the same way. Choosing Prudence, Rose or another name records context only. It does not insert a supposed fixed recipe for that person. Different Dressmaker commissions can have different conditions, even within one character line. Copy the current brief from your own game and use the notes field to identify the specific request when the character name alone is not enough.
Enter one condition per row
Give each requirement a clear name that matches your notes or Dressmaker’s terminology. Choose at least for a minimum, at most for a maximum, or must avoid for a prohibited detail. For numerical conditions, enter the threshold and then the observation type. Exact values, ranges and unknown observations are deliberately separate. Missing information should not be silently converted to zero, and a reversed range should not be accepted as valid input.
The Dressmaker tool accepts finite numerical values rather than assuming every metric uses the same scale. You still need to use the same units for the limit and observation. If a Dressmaker brief is descriptive and you do not have a reliable numerical interpretation, do not manufacture one. Record the wording in your notes and preserve the unanswered question until you can inspect the relevant interface or source.
Understand the minimum comparison
For a finished exact observation, an at-least condition is satisfied when the value equals or exceeds the threshold. A value below the threshold is a violation. With a range, the lower end must meet the minimum before the whole range can be said to satisfy it. If even the upper end falls short, the entire range violates it. If the range spans the boundary, the result remains uncertain.
For example, a minimum of 80 with an observed range of 75–90 cannot be confirmed. The Dressmaker checker does not average the range into 82.5 and declare success. These numbers are synthetic examples, not a real commission’s requirements. The purpose is to show how the Dressmaker tool handles evidence honestly: a possible passing outcome is different from knowing that the supplied observation meets the rule.
Dressmaker: understand maximums and prohibited details
An at-most condition is satisfied by a finished exact value at or below its limit. With a range, the upper end must stay within that limit for the entire observation to satisfy it. A range completely above the boundary is a violation; one crossing the boundary is uncertain. Equality is allowed for these inclusive minimum and maximum operators. The interface does not pretend to support an unstated strict inequality.
A must-avoid Dressmaker condition uses presence rather than an invented score. Yes means the prohibited item or tag is present, no means you observed it to be absent, and not sure preserves uncertainty. The Dressmaker checker cannot classify black fabric, recognize lace or inspect any other game tag from a screenshot. Choose your answer based on actual information from Dressmaker, not merely the appearance of the browser studio’s unrelated illustration.
Dressmaker: why sketch observations do not receive a final pass
A sketch helps with planning, but it is not the completed dress. Even when an estimate appears compatible with the limit, the tool keeps a favorable sketch result uncertain and asks you to confirm the finished observation. This avoids turning a planning aid into a guarantee about a later stage. A sketch clearly outside the limit can still identify a problem in the current plan, without proving what every future revision will do.
This Dressmaker distinction also applies to avoid conditions. Marking a prohibited detail absent from a sketch does not establish its absence from the final garment. Check again after construction and decoration. The Dressmaker tool is intentionally conservative here because its purpose is to catch overlooked conditions, not create an impressive-looking success message from incomplete evidence. Unknown can be the most accurate and useful result on the screen.
Dressmaker: read the result labels as explanations
Satisfied means the supplied finished observation meets that individual comparison. Violation means the supplied observation clearly conflicts with it. Uncertain means the evidence is incomplete or not yet final. Check input means the row cannot be evaluated reliably, such as when the requirement has no name, a numerical limit is missing or the start of a range is greater than its end. Each row gives a short explanation alongside the label.
The Dressmaker summary counts these categories without merging unknowns into passes. Even if every entered row is satisfied, the result only covers those rows. A missing requirement, copied value error or undocumented game condition can still matter. For a surprising Dressmaker outcome, reread the complete brief and compare it with the commission guide. The checker is a structured review of your record, not a replacement for that record’s accuracy.
Dressmaker: save, export and clear your work
Save draft writes the current editor state to browser storage on this device. It does not upload your values to a server or synchronize them with another browser. Unsaved edits can disappear when you leave or reload. Export report downloads a JSON document containing your context, rules and comparison results. That document is a readable record for your own use, not a supported game-save format or an automatic submission to developer support.
The example button loads illustrative Dressmaker inputs without changing a previously saved draft until you choose to save. Clear editor starts a fresh in-memory form while leaving the stored draft intact until it is replaced. To delete the stored draft completely, use the data controls on the privacy page. This distinction prevents a casual exploration of the Dressmaker example from silently destroying a record you meant to keep.
Dressmaker: use the report to ask a more precise question
If a commission remains confusing, collect the exact response, edition, build, relevant materials and the stage from which each observation came. Add whether unofficial modifications are installed. The exported report can help you explain which conditions appear satisfied and which remain uncertain, but you should review its contents before sharing. You do not need to include private account information or unrelated personal details in a public question.
Our Dressmaker troubleshooting guide connects common symptoms with dated official fixes and cautiously labeled community suggestions. No automated rule here promises to solve every rejection or quality issue. The tool is most valuable when it helps you notice one reversed limit, one missing tag confirmation or one estimate mistaken for a finished value. That small improvement makes the next Dressmaker decision clearer without claiming knowledge the available evidence does not support.
